100 W. Washington Street RFP
Office/Retail Building Available for Redevelopment Proposals-

Mayor Stoner and the Monticello City Council are very pleased to announce that the City has issued its Request for Proposals for the redevelopment of the City-owned First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust building (100 W. Washington Street).  In its ongoing effort to revitalize the City's Courthouse Square Historic District, the City is actively seeking private developers to partner with the community in the redevelopment of this key downtown property.  Downtown Monticello is home to over 100 businesses, social and fraternal organizations, and public institutions, and the redevelopment of the Bank and Trust building is a critical component in continuing the City's downtown renaissance, an effort which has seen over $2 million in new private investment in the last two years alone.

Questions concerning this RFP must be submitted via email, to Callie McFarland no later than 5:00pm on Friday, March 3rd, 2017.  Questions (without attribution), and answers will be posted no later than 5:00pm on Friday, March 10, 2017 on this website.

Proposals will be accepted until 5:00pm on Friday, March 17, 2017.  The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to re-advertise the proposal, and to waive all technicalities.
