The Illinois Freedom of information Act (FOIA) provides public access to government documents and records.
The City of Monticello is subject to the Illinois Freedom of information Act. Requests filed under the Freedom of information Act become public records and both requests, and the individual making the request are subject to FOIA regulations.
Requests for information under the Act are processed by the City of Monticello FOIA officer and staff. Make an online request for public records under the Freedom of information Act.
There are requests to the City of Monticello for public records under the Freedom of information Act from April, 2012 to present. Requests are added to the FOIA Request Log within a reasonable time upon date of receipt.
Responses to the FOIA requests were provided by the FOIA officer and City Staff within 5 business days, as required by law, unless an extension was taken, or clarification was requested.
