Monticello Police Department

The Monticello Police Department is committed to providing residents and visitors of the City of Monticello with professional and responsive police services that enhance the quality of life in the Monticello community. The Department provides 24-hour coverage to the community, a point of pride for a rural community of just under 6,000 residents. The Department is comprised of 11 sworn officers and two administrative personnel.

In addition to regular public safety operations, the Monticello Police Department offers services such as child safety seat inspections, prescription drug collection sites, and opportunities with public outreach. MPD is also involved with the operations of Impact Coalition and Willow Tree Missions, and facilitates the Monticello Shop with a Cop program annually.
