Safe disposal of unused or expired medications is important to the safety and health of the community and environment. Medicine take-back options are the best way to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription or nonprescription medications. There area few, select medicines with specific instructions to immediately flush down the toilet only if a medicine take-back option is not readily available.
