About the Program
The Monticello Police Department's Private Video Surveillance Camera Registration was created as a partnership between the local law enforcement and the community to provide information that can be used to assist when an incident happens.
When a crime occurs in a neighborhood, business or residence, the Monticello Police officers will canvas the area for witnesses, as well as security camera systems that may have recorded important details on the event. By having knowledge of existing security camera systems, the Department can often expedite and solve the crime more expediently.
